Well I do, and this is nothing new

But looks like this life  I ain’t living for you

I know that you in love, but baby that sounds through

When the size don’t fit, so why would I wear the shoe?

Time Is Illmatic

And just
like that

I backspace
my mind

delete the
syllables

and
write off
the way I’m
not supposed
to be feeling
about
you.

hip hop & martial arts

i just love hip hop and the connection it has to so much. everyones definition of hip hop is different…everyones definition of everything is a bit subjective, but the “golden era” (mid 80’s-mid 90’s) of hip hop is my favorite! hip hop & martial arts married in the mid 80’s and its one of the reasons i am currently exploring the realm of martial arts.

it must be the tiger spirit.

i could go on forever maybe ill write an article/paper on it :D

"Artists such as Public Enemy and Dead Prez are more considered “activist rappers” whose apparent Asian influence and love of arts, culture and Eastern philosophies ooze from their lyrics. And then there’s Busta Rhymes, who is well-known for being a disciplined shaolin kung-fu practitioner.

Leading influencing on these artists include, Bruce Lee, Muhammad Ali, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye and Dr. Martin Luther King. On their reading list is the I Ching, written works of Lao Tzu, the Tibetan Book of the Dead, as well as the personal writings of Bruce Lee.”
